Sock & Other Things

I have finished the 4 pairs of socks that are for my DBIL he asked me to do he paid for the yarn which is 4 ply Regia sock yarn he went for Green so all 4 pairs are green just different shades the darkest one is the only pair my DH said he be seen dead in certainly not his colour lol
I haven't been feeling great lately mostly pains in my leg I am still waiting on the results of the MRI scan I had on my leg which has a lump on it but funny enough it not that what is giving me trouble the pain in that leg is higher up near the knee & just over a bit where the lump is near to the ankle but on the shin.
But I am also getting a lot of sort of cramp pain it now not just at night it can be in the foot or the leg & it feels a bit like you tearing the muscle at times but even when I don't have the cramping part the leg still hurting a lot so difficult to walk & this is mostly on the other leg to the lump.
Then just as I don't like doing things by halves I went for my yearly check-up because of my heart they do weight, blood pressure ect well I am on tablets for my BP & guess what yesterday it was low 80/60 so the practice nurse has said to come back in a week to see the treatment nurse & get it done again but also to leave the water tablets I take out as that could be making the bp drop too low
I wasn't feeling right yesterday anyway so I guess it was the BP also I am not sleeping very well that said had a better night last night took a couple of pain-killers but I have to be careful as sometimes even over the counter ones can upset my stomach so that why I don't take them much.
I did last week go to the library & got some large print Mills & Boon books plus Summer on Blossom Street by Debbie Macomber & another book, I have read the Summer on Blossom Street which was good easy light reading also 2 of the M&B ones I did order a book it is Lark Rise to Candleford trilogy this is by Flora Thompson she is Laura Timmis this has been made in to a series by the BBC they done 3 so far the first series had Dawn French in I really enjoy it set in Victorian times & is about a hamlet which is Lark Rise where the poor folk live & Candleford where the better off live & Laura Timmis at the start of the series go to work & live at the post office in Candleford so it will be interesting to read how she wrote the book & not just how they made it in to the drama that on TV.
I have started to cut some fabric for the blocks of my next quilt but DH has been saying give it a rest so that is partly what I will be doing resting & carrying on reading.
I sent my Silver machine for a service, well I knew it would possible need a new bulb but somehow I made a hole in the actual bobbin case so that as well had to be replaced neather came under the warrant so had to pay out for that which wasn't cheap well machine came back & the cover which covers the bulb was broken it where you screw it to it anyway got on to them & had a replacement sent at their cost of course so that arrived this morning.
Yesterday I got some flannel arrive that I had ordered which worked out at a very good price they was selling either pink or blue you got 2 x 2.5mts of a 90 inch wide piece of flannel so I ordered some of each then my friend has has 1 piece blue & 1 piece pink well I ordered this before the cost of the machine lol & it worked out if I order 1 pack or more same postage so ordered a few so I now have enough flannel for backing to keep me going for a good while if I want flannel on the quilt which if it for me I will be doing.
I am still waiting on some packages from the USA 1 ordered at the beginning of April not sure if the Volcano & the distruption to flights has caused the delay just hope they arrive soon.
This week-end is a Holiday week-end here in the UK as Monday is a holiday it the May Day bank holiday which is the 1st Monday in May weatherman says not going to be very good weatherwise but what new well you all have a good week-end especially if it is a holiday week-end for you also.

Quilting Talk

It been a while since my last post, not done too much had to redo the computer again but it does seem to be more or less okay fingers crossed there is one program that won't load hope to rectify that soon with a upgraded version of it when it arrives.
Been knitting am on the last of 4 pairs of socks that I am doing for DBIL he paid for the yarn & I am knitting them hope to share a photo when I finish this pair of all of them.
I been planning some quilts I been doing them on the EQ6 also I have heard that there will be a EQ7 coming out no news about it until next month hope then will know more about what it is & the differences not that I am planning to get it but it nice to know what is going on
That said I did get a set of 3 classic applique discs to go along with the EQ they are 1920s & 1930s blocks, Batimore album & Folk Art blocks
I am hoping to start a single quilt using mostly homespun fabric may also use some Thimbleberries or Moda with it but will see how I go when I pull all the fabric out for it.
I also have while playing on the EQ designed a Queen Size On Point quilt which I am hoping to do using 1930s fabric I design it as you will see from the image below I will have some plain squares these I planned using the 10 inch layer cake fabric I got so no cutting there then lol the blocks will be bear's paw the colouring may not be just like the image it was me messing around also you see one not coloured I left that so it would when getting yardage give me what they say for one block.
I am hoping to do 2 of each fabric for the blocks & using the same background fabric for all then it will tie in more.
Not sure when this one will be started yet, & my machine is off for a service on Friday so won't have it back until next week I can still use my other machine for blocks for the single quilt if I get the fabric cut so it be a case of watch this space

Computer & Finished the Quilt

What a nightmare my computer has become I have had to reformat it yet again this time at least it seems to be smoother still having trouble my office 2000 won't load I only want Word for so I can have a spell check on my outlook express e-mails I have Works on the computer yet both being microsoft you think they would allow the spell checker to be either one but no so am not happy.

That said I finished the quilt, well I still need to do the label on the back it not quite big enough well I say generous enough for the twin single beds as they are fixed togetheri was restricted to the size as I used a really beautiful flannel on the back but it was only 45 inches wide so cut it in to two & joined it together.

But I really could have done with a extra half a yard or so on the whole thing so when doing it this could have been another 10 inches or there abouts but it okay I used a 100% cotton wadding DH can't take the weight of quilts & he didn't think I would be warm enough with this but it wasn't too bad last night had a rough night because was getting very bad cramp in my leg this is not the leg I had my MRI scan on yesterday (waiting for results now) but the other one & it was more the foot but it kept me from sleeping with the way it was.

Anyway here is the photos of the quilt I call it Sunbonnet Sue as every other one is a SS block I did buy these ready made so only had to put them on to the background fabric, then I picked 3 different blocks each different block was done in bright colours my DH said he never be able to sleep with this as it too bright it would keep him awake lol actually he said this morning as long as he don't have to wear such bright colours he has no problem with me using it in the home so may be more will be forthcoming lol

I haven't quilted it as much as I would have liked I found that the size has stopped me so I done stitch in the ditch that is the biggest problem I think with doing large quilts at home so am thinking of doing 2 singles next time this may land up on the back bedroom bed as that just a normal double size bed so this would fit nicely on there but will have to wait for the replacement quilts lol

What I been up To

First I hope everyone had a Happy Blessed Easter.
Today had a nice surprise my eldest son & his two sons turned up for a visit which was nice the grandsons are nearly 9 & 2 the 2 year old was full of it a right little tear-away lol
Well I have managed to finish the top to my quilt I had hope to take a photo of it on the bed but it don't look right as I can't get it all in so will wait until I finish it so sorry no photos yet.
All my books I ordered have now arrived the last one being Egg Money Quilt while it wasn't cheap it still worth the money & look forward to doing some projects from there.
I managed to finish 1 pair of the 4 pairs of socks I am knitting for DBIL & should have the 2nd pair finished in the next day or so.
Weather has not been great here we had it rain every day it may start out dry & not too bad but by afternoon it comes over dull & then rains also the wind makes it feel really cold not spring like at all.
I hope that everyone is being creative & doing well with what ever projects they are working on.

A Angel for April

Here is your Angel for April this month is a very special month with it Being Easter so I wish you all a very Blessed Easter & throughout the month of April May you know the true meaning of Love & Blessings

Angel Of April
~Precious beauty April brings

With gentle touch of hand

The beauty of the earth we see

In heaven's guarded land

Where she tends the flowers

With gentlest of care

This angel of the April rains

Brings flowers always near

Smell the fragrance in the air

Let her touch your heart

Once she gives you precious gift

Her beauty never parts

Rays of light are breaking through

To show the gifts so rare

Where velvet is the precious gift

The flowers crown her hair

She waits to send these treasures

From earth they soon will spring

A flower of the treasures

That the April angel brings

With so much love and gentleness

Her hands will give repair

To soothe your soul in rapture sent

Her love is everywhere~

Mini Runner

Well it certainly been a week, I did the mini runner if you look at earlier post you see that I did the one strip which was done at quilting group but at home I have made this larger & the photo is of it finished.
I have received 2 of the 3 books I ordered plus some more 1930s style fabric also some new applique CD which is for the EQ program I haven't as yet loaded them on.
Reason I haven't loaded them is that I have major problems with computer & a virus so have had to work on it & am still loading programs back on I know that one program won't load but this is not my Quilting program but Office 2000 I have Works but office has word & I need that to be on for a spell checker on Outlook Express strange that both are microsoft yet OE needs word yet it don't come up with it they use works
Well I guess I better get back to loading programs on computer

The other runner is beautiful as well & the quilting on all is beautiful puts what I sent to shame .

My Week-End

Had a good week-end, On Saturday was my quilting group & we was to do a mini table runner the block is the basket with a 4 patch block in between the two baskets which I have done as you see by the photo.
It not finished as I would like to do it bigger so I have thought of doing 2 four patch blocks & 1 basket & then put the 4 patch block next to the baskets & the basket next to the 4 patch so hope to do that later today after doing some boring jobs such as housework lol.
I also posted photos of the Sunbonnet Sue that will go with my blocks for the quilt I have only take a photo of 6 as the other 6 are the same so you see the ones I have plus a closer up one, so I have 2 of each colour to go with the blocks in previous post.
Sunday was a beautiful day & DH & me went off to some gardening centres well have to take him out occassionally lol while out we had lunch out had a lovely roast beef dinner I had no potatoes just other vegetables it came also with a apple crumble for pudding & we had a soft cold drink all for a very good price.
Anyway we are limited for space as we don't really have a back garden as such & DH likes to grow his own vegetables & he wanted a trough or a raised bed type thing we saw one that would do but was expensive anyway at this gardening centre they sell fish ect & they had some holding ponds which are like very large sinks or mini baths so I suggested what about them & he looked & we got 2 of them they will be idea as they are fibreglass they won't rot unlike wood plus for the 2 of them they cost less than one of the planters which we saw & much less than the large raised bed & we have more room than if we got either of them, so I do come up with some good ideas for him occassionally lol
He will be attempting to grow Celeriac which we love, DH seems to be at his happiest when he pottering around outside he hates being couped up inside & if he don't go out he can get grumpy lol also as he says he in a lot of pain & if he don't keep moving he will seize up & that he won't be able to do anything so he keeps on plus if your busy you can work through the pain as your mind is on other things.
Today is a nice day weather wise but it will be unsettled with rain during the week here or so they say so will have to see how it goes.
On a previous post someone asked if I had to pay duty on my 1930s fabric well no as while I bought 50 FQs it came in two packages so value was split so it was under what I am allow.
Please do remember if you are on a No Reply or as Annon then I can't e-mail you back with a thank you or further comments I do reply to all postings.

1930s Fabric

Well my FQs arrived they came in two packages 25 in each so a total of 50 FQs these are the ones I bought off ebay below is the photo of them
As you see they are 1930s not sure what it is but I suddenly gone for this style I still love my Thimbleberries & of course have other taste but these are really nice there one or two I am not so keen on but will possible work well with the others now I just have to come up with a good project or two for them lol
I had a rest from knitting last night & no sewing yesterday either it was a rest day for sure in the craft department but well after going shopping I guess that wasn't a bad thing need to recharge my batteries lol

Aran Sweater & More Blocks

I have finished the last of the pattern blocks which now only leaves the 12 Sunbonnet Sue to do have to cut the background fabric for those then put the SS on to them.
The blocks I just done I taken a photo of all of them in one then a closer one of just one of the 5 I have done.
In the other photos you will see the Aran Sweater I been working on i done a full shot & a closer one, am rather pleased with it & it took around 3 weeks to do which again am rather pleased with.

More Blocks

Top of the Morning to You, Happy St Patrick's Day & may the Luck of the Irish be with you.
Well yesterday I had my friend over & we attempted our first go at some Flying Geese & they went quite well am pleased with them we did it the Eleanor Burns way as I have some of her Quilt in a Day Templates for Flying Geese so we did that.
After my friend left I managed to do the 4 blocks I need for my quilt in this pattern & colours just right with today being St Paddy's day lol
These have come out really well & are even bright than the photo shows
I have one more pattern block to do & have to do 5 of those, pieces cut but have to sew the triangles cut & press then start to assemble them once that all done I will cut the background fabric for my Sunbonnet Sues so am hope that I will be able to start on that very shortly, Friday I am not sure what my friend & I will try as we said we want to try new things if we not working on a project, I do also want to see if I can do a block say a star that uses the flying geese method in it just so I can say I done it.
On my Knitting I will have the sleeve finished today & will be able to start to sew it up so that will be finished & ready to post by end of the week.

Starting My Quilt

I have finally started the blocks for my quilt I will be doing 3 different blocks plus Sunbonnet Sue on a WoW background.
This is a photo of the first set of blocks, the other 2 blocks will be bright as well & the SS is done in 1930s fabric, I can't take credit for doing them as I bought them ready done just have to press them on to fabric & join the pieces that will be the last part as I want to make sure all the blocks come out the correct size before I start cutting the backing fabric.
I am using bright light colours for the quilt I will be using 3 different colours of the same range for the borders, & the blocks most are in the same range but different colours only had to add in another range for 2 of them but again where possible same range you see as I progress further.
As I mention about the Eleanor Burns books well I did order some books I ordered Egg Money Quilts, Orions Star & Sunbonnet Sue book well I may as well learn how to do it myself lol they should be here between next week & just after Easter.
I have finished the 1st sleeve on the Aran sweater & working on the 2nd I have already done the neckband so once sleeve is done just have to then sewn them in & sew up.

Dear Jane Blocks & Other Bits & Pieces

I Haven't posted since the beginning of the month, so here what I have been up to & what been going on with me.
Been down with a cold which DH kindly gave to me is so kind lol I am just finally getting over that, I want to start a quilt for myself but would not allow myself to start it until I finished the DJ blocks well that what my friend & I call it as while we doing them the size is not a Dear Jane size we went for blocks of 9.5" for the finish of 9 inch we started this well at least 12-18 months ago & what we have done is each picked 18 blocks we do 2 of each block I keep one set & she will have the other set & she will do the same her blocks are the more harder ones (well I wasn't stupid lol) I had already sent her 4 so now have to send her the remaining 14 the photos are of my set.
You see some are 3 colours these are the colours we will be doing the quilt in it P&B Textiles their Moroccan spice range, my friend was really kind & gave me 6 yards of each of the 3 colours for my birthday a couple of years ago.
I have also been knitting I am working on a Aran Sweater for the above friend for her birthday want to finish it by end of the month so I can send it along with the blocks her birthday not until May but I like to get it sent early so it be there in time.
I had a eye appointment at the hospital in January as I am under them for my eyes anyway the field test that they do I was told that it wasn't very good & they see me in 3 months, got a appointment in April then had a letter saying it cancelled until June so phoned got it changed back to a day in April only for this one to be cancelled so I e-mail them complaining so on Tuesday got a call giving me a date in April, then yesterday got a early call saying that there been a cancellation & I could go in yesterday afternoon which I did, the results is that it about the same so have to go back in 4 months which is July which is only a month later than some of the appointments they were giving me for this one so it be interesting to see how that works out.
While I am on health & the NHS here in the UK I have a lump on my leg well to cut a long story short had X-Rays which is not showing anything so the specialist has asked for a CT Scan so have to wait for that they say 4-8 weeks but that one I am not too worried about I will get on to the hospital next week if I haven't heard just to check that they received the request.
Back to Quilting the quilt I will be doing is my design in that I have worked it out on EQ6 I have some Sunbonnet Sue which I bought so will put them on WoW background fabric & do it every other one then I have 3 different blocks & will put one of those every other one if it comes out like the image on the quilting program should look okay I am using very light bright fabrics.
I have been watching Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day Series on the Rural Channel which we get here she now on Egg Money Quilts & I really do like what I have seen so far I hope to get the book well because of this series I had been looking at some 1930s fabric & I have manage to get 50 FQs for a very good price with shipping so they are on their way I am hoping to have them next week.
I have also ordered some fabric which was in a sale over here in the UK I ordered it as I also got £5 off if i spent over £10 so well what is a gal suppose to do when offers like that come along so am waiting on that it being very slow in coming if it hasn't arrived by today will let them know so they can resend it or chase it up what ever.
DH has been busy he has got a orange & a lemon tree he nursing them like a baby with bringing them in to the house late afternoon & the rest of the time in his greenhouse this is the one he built so it has the double polycarbonate sheeting rather than glass or a single glazed panel, he now putting bubble wrap inside so it will be warm enough for the trees to stay there all the time as he wants to get them in to the larger pots he has & once he has repotted them no way can we bring them inside apart from anything else will be too heavy anyway he keep them in the greenhouse until the warmer weather when they can be outside for the summer.
My DBIL had asked me to order some sock yarn which he paid for & I will be knitting him 4 pairs of socks with it so have knitting lined up for a while told him I can't start before I finish the Aran sweater but will start once finished.
That about it with all my news weather here in my part of the UK is been dry but cold & the wind makes it even colder it below what is the normal temperatures for the time of year, I wonder if anyone remembers March 1972 towards the end of that month we had summer like weather I remember going off to work in just a dress it was up in the 70s now we lucky if half of that, this certainly been a bad winter for a long time I don't mind getting harsh cold winters if we got hot dry summers so lets hope so

The kind you always seek

These are the coins she spreads about

To make you rich with peace

To find a coin that falls from sky

To see it glisten bright

Just pick it up to make you rich

All the beauty that she gives

Sock Yarn Arrived

The yarn I was waiting on arrived yesterday, the top one is called Irish Colour next is Emotion Colour both are 100 gram balls of  4 ply the Emotion one I have had before just these are new colours, the last one is Wellness Colour & these are 150 gram balls of 6 ply
The Irish colour I seen on pattern & ball now & it shows it knitted & does look better than in the photo actually the photo don't do it justices, well at least I have enough sock yarn to keep me going for awhile I get the yarn from Germany that why I tend to get in one go can't just pop to a local yarn store for it well can't get sock yarn very easily from the LYS here in my part of the UK

Applique Table Runner

Here is my latest table runner the top photo shows it fully & the next two one shows the back & the other a bit closer up.
It was a nice one to do & will be given as a gift which DH will give to them.
I really like this normally I am not one for really bright colours but these have worked well the middle square is applique & top & bottom is 9 patch the corners on both borders have the same fabric as in the 9 patch the darker one.

Fabric I have Bought

Well we had several inches of snow which started yesterday & was still snowing when I went to bed, but it was frozen like before so me & my friend Pat could go off to a quilting shop called Bramble Patch at Weedon in Northamptonshire as they have a 2 day sale today & tomorrow, can't go tomorrow as it quilting group.
Well got over there & they had some nice fabrics but not a lot that i wished to buy but did buy some I got 2 metres of the four fabrics shown in the photo.
Not sure what I will do with it there is no special project it was bought for but I am sure that my stash will welcome it with open arms lol
The top two are pinks & the bottom ones are green did think that the 2nd pink one down could be fussy cut in to a block or used in something & I guess the same could be said with the 1st green down as well as these two are larger prints compared to the top & bottom fabrics.

Table Runner

It is snowing again today here in my part of the UK they say that some parts could get 2-6 inches but I don't think we will get it here it is coming down heavy & settling, I am hoping that it will be gone by tomorrow or at least the roads will be okay as I am hoping to go to a quilting show which is about 45 minutes away as they have a 2 day sale starting tomorrow I haven't been to this shop before so will be nice to go.
I have bought some sock yarn which is coming from Germany it should be here fairly quickly I got 1 lot of a line I already have just different colours, then a new line plus another line which is not like the others which are 4 ply this other line is 6 ply so will be able to do some nice warm socks with that, will show you all when it arrives.
I still have another runner to finish I need to quilt that which will be in the next few days, Saturday is my quilting group I go to not sure what I will be doing as I only know the supplies I need not what we are doing some of the ladies will be doing blocks for a Dear Jane quilt but as I am already doing blocks for that I opted out of doing that.
I have finished this table runner this is not the table runner challenge one that will be shown once the deadline & voting is done well I know that some who are doing it look at my blog so don't wish to influence anyone lol. this one it a nice long one which will is for a table runner swap I am in so will be packaging up ready to be on it way

Socks & This & That

I haven't posted much to my blog which I can only say sorry for.
The weather here in my part of the UK has been cold & today we had snow first thing but nothing really came of it just looked like someone been around with icing sugar lol then later we had another heavy burst which settled but again not too much as the sun came out & it has now disappeared.
I been working on projects, I have done the table runner but can't show that yet, & I have a top of another done but needed to get some wadding which I did this morning.
Yesterday I did the middle block of 3 for another table runner this is applique on the  middle block then top & bottom of it will be 9 patch block I will show that when it finished.
On the Knitting side well I have had a break after doing a cloth which went in to a swap & is winging it way to the USA.
I then started some socks for me which that I can show as you will see from the photo below, the yarn is what I have received in a swap last year, they are a pinky with green/blue in the other parts I don't think that the photo shows the colour off well.
I asked DH how was the socks I have knitted for him, & he said that now he wears them nearly all the time as the ones we have bought from a shop are a bit thin so he prefers them which means I am going to have to get back to knitting more for him, he is that bit harder to knit for as he don't like the yarns that is self-patterning like the ones below he likes plain/solid colours which is fine but don't like knitting blacks, navy or other really dark colours.
I had been bidding on ebay for some more sock yarn (not for DH) I have won one lot from my favourite sock yarn seller & am waiting on the others one lot I know I am outbid on but won't increase it as the colours are not as nice as ones I am bidding on I am hoping I win at least one of the two lots left one I really like so I can see me trying again if I don't win it as what I won today has taken a while to win within my price range.
I hope all those who are affected by snow or any other weather, that they will be okay & stay safe.

Friday Night Sew-In

Well I did do 2 blocks had hope to do better but it better than nothing, the blocks are ones I am doing for the Dear Jane quilt but with a big difference they are not tiny these will be a finish of 9 inches I am doing 18 different blocks but 2 of each I will be keeping one set & the other set will go to my friend in the USA she will be doing the same so we have 36 blocks in total when finished, my friend Lynnette was kind enough to give me the fabric for my birthday 18 months ago & we still not finished them lol we are using P&B Textiles Moroccan Spice range we have 3 colours most of the blocks will be in the 2 you see with some using a 3rd colour, this colour will also be used for sashing or border will know more when I come to that.
If you look at the blocks they are not strictly the same I done them alternative but didn't realise until I was taking the photo that they are not quite the same I don't think it matters as they will be in different quilts.
I hope that I can work on more blocks before next Friday's Sew-In so I can be working on some projects I really need to do but I guess I have to see how I get along this coming week.

It will be interesting to see how different people do this & the fabrics they use so will be posting more as my group which is Q4A   We started this today so this gives us a nice length of time to choose or get fabrics before starting it

What a Start to the New Year

Well had a bit of a start to the New Year with all the cold weather & snow we been having in the UK my boiler decided to pack up called the engineer out & it needed new part which he didn't have so had to be ordered
So we was without central heating or hot water for few days we do have a gas fire in the sitting room & we put a electric fan at the bedroom end of the bungalow but we really was cold when we wasn't in the sitting room took hot water bottles to bed & had to boil the kettle to wash & do any washing up.
The engineer was due back on a morning call on Friday but he got stuck on other jobs so it was late afternoon before he came, but he fixed it & we could have heat again let the place warm up it was so cold that even walking on the carpets with nothing on my feet they felt cold/damp but by Saturday they are okay.
We had a hot bath to help us get really warm & the boiler seems to running fine now.
Because of all this I had to move my trolly drawer which on top of that I also have stash on as well as in the drawers so had to listen to DH saying how much I have well I can't help it if I don't have space to put that lot away lol
I now put the place back to normal that the problem if there is a problem or even just a service on the boiler I have to move my stuff to allow the engineer to have room plus don't want him damaging any of my stash now do I lol it does make me realise that I do have a lot of fabric not as much as some but for the space I have it over flowing so I really must make more of a effort to use it well if i use it I can always get more lol
Well hoping that next week will be a better one & I will start on some project will be telling you about the quilting challenge that my online quilting group will be doing & linking a pattern for you to see.

2010 Challenges & Plans

It is the beginning of the first full week of a New Year, here in the UK we have had & still having some very wintery weather this morning it was very heavy frost & icy roads the weather report for the country showed it was minus 14c in the Highlands of Scotland & even around this area it was minus 8c & the forecast for the coming week is that we could be getting snow well there is snow on it way it whether it misses where I live.
On to what I hope to do, well I issued a Table Runner Challenge to my online Quilting group  Q4A  What I am doing is that I have a pattern I got from a free site which I will send to those on group who signed up, I will post the site & say which pattern after Next Sunday when the group would have received the pattern.
The idea is that they will do the pattern can of course make some adjustments I know I will as I would like it longer, choice of fabrics & colours are theirs also as this is a No Post one it will be for themselves or to give away but at least I will not have to track who sending what lol they will have until 10th March to complete they will send me a photo so I can add to a album on my group & then we will vote & the winner will be shown on homepage.
I have also signed up to a table runner swap this is with a different group that I belong to so will need to do that one have to February to do that one.
I will also be doing a single quilt for me I have decided that this year will be the year I do more for my home & me as all the quilting things I have done most has gone for gifts I only have some placemats so I want more in my home.
The other thing that will be a ongoing thing is that I will be doing 1 gift a month at least it like the Weekly Christmas Challenge I set myself but at present it only 1 gift a month it will need to be increased I guess later on in the year when I know who will get what but all the gifts will go in a gift stash which I can dip in to during the year if need be.
So while I have not set any New Year Resolutions I am setting myself Challenges the age old one is also along in there I want to weigh less this time next year than I do now I have managed it that I weigh less than I did this time last year but still have a long way to go before I don't need that to be one of my challenges.
So what Plans, Challenges or Resolutions are you setting for yourself? one thing do take time for you as without you your family would be lost so make that time to relax chill out & do what you want not what others want Last but not Least a Very Happy New Year to All my Followers & Anyone Else who reads my blog

Here is your Angel for January may she guide & guard you throughout the Month & may you go will God's Love & Blessings

Angel Of January

January's angel
She holds love in her hands

Protects the world above

Watches over land
Her majesty revealed

Her strength within her wings

This beauty of the heavens

Harmoniously she sings
Winds to echo softly

The Philharmonic strings

She guards us and protects us

With strength from up above
She is standing in the wonder

Of God's devoted love

Chosen from all others

To protect us from afar
This angel great and mighty

She just blends within the stars

Look up at the power of

The beauty of the sky
See the colors she reveals

To every precious eye

A protector of the majesty

In everything she holds
The world it is her captured guest

Her heart will just unfold

January's angel

A joy from way above
Sends to you the compliment

Of God's eternal love
